This project showcases a dynamic promotional poster designed for the inaugural Melbourne Cup Luncheon in Cairns. This significant event, organized collaboratively by various restaurants and bars along Shields Street, required a visual identity that was both impactful and inviting.
My design approach focused on creating a poster that was bold, colorful, and highly eye-catching, ensuring it would stand out and effectively attract attendees. A key challenge was to balance the official nature of the Melbourne Cup event with the festive atmosphere of a luncheon, particularly as it was the first year. The resulting design successfully captured this dual essence, contributing to the establishment of the event and setting a vibrant tone for future iterations.
