Yamada Architecture.
Logo Design | Branding

This project involved a comprehensive brand identity redesign for "Yamada Kengyo," also known as Yamada Architecture, a family-run architectural firm based in Fukashima, Japan. Known for their unique approach of building homes from the ground up—including harvesting their own timber—the company sought to replace its outdated branding with a strong, contemporary visual presence that truly reflects their distinctive values and craftsmanship.

My design solution centered on creating a brand built around sharp edges and geometric shapes, symbolizing precision and architectural integrity. The core of the brand features an iconic symbol with dual meanings: representing both the concept of growth (a budding tree) and the interconnectedness of homes within a neighborhood. The overall aesthetic aimed for a contemporary, minimal, strong, and clean look, providing Yamada Architecture with a modern and memorable identity that honors their heritage while looking toward the future.
