Vidro Stained Glass
Logo Design | Branding | Poster
This portfolio piece showcases the comprehensive brand development project for "Vidro Stained Glass," a company based in Japan led by artist Takako. The challenge was to create a sophisticated and upmarket brand identity from the ground up, as the company previously had no established branding.
My design solution involved crafting a new logo and visual system that embodies elegance and artistry. This included a refined royal blue and gold color palette, a unique stained glass-inspired icon, and the selection of the 'Playfair' typeface to convey a sense of classic sophistication. The brand elements were also applied to business cards, utilizing metallic gold paint to achieve a distinctive, shiny finish that further elevates the premium feel of the brand. This project demonstrates my ability to translate artistic vision into a cohesive and impactful brand presence.
Vidro had no previous branding and Takako wasn't sure on the direction of her new branding apart from colour (Blue). I wanted to design a sophisticated brand that gave an upmarket feel. I began to start tracing stained glass photographs in search of a vector that I could use as an icon in the logo. After finding the perfect icon I matched it up with the classy 'Playfair' typeface. To apply colour I found a royal looking blue and paired it with a expensive gold colour. The gold colour was then applied on the business card with metallic paint to give it some shine.
